Rough Trade is pressing 5,000 copies of In Rainbows on clear vinyl as its pick for 2007 in 50 Records for 50 Years, and only customers signed in to a Rough Trade account will be able to buy one. The shop announced the fourth batch of the series, covering 2006 to 2015, on 4 August. The product page dates the record 28 August.

The series gives each record shop-exclusive vinyl and new liner notes. This one comes with an insert of stories and interviews from people behind the album.

The entry, credited to Georgia from Rough Trade's office, recalls an album that came out as piracy was eating into CD sales and was sold for whatever buyers chose to pay. It says the move split the industry between those who saw a new way to reach fans and those who saw an unfair expectation for less successful bands.
