It is also one of those free to watch on BFI Replay, the BFI's streaming site. It went out on the band's website on New Year's Eve 2007, the album played in full between spoken-word interludes and skits.
The collection was bought with National Lottery money through the BFI Screen Heritage Fund. Will Swinburne, a curator at the BFI National Archive, says the aim is to capture what online video has added to the story of film.
Garth Jennings, of Hammer & Tongs, and Adam Buxton, of Adam & Joe, directed Scotch Mist. Their film for “Nude” was shot in slow motion at 1,000 frames a second, and on the BFI's page Buxton reckons that when you've got a song as lovely as “Nude”, you could pretty much film a hairy arse in slow motion and it would be moving.
