Song · Kid A / Amnesiac era (2000–01)
Worrywort
A comparatively bright Amnesiac offcut, and it is about worrying.
2001
the b-side
It was one of three songs new on record on “Knives Out”, the second single from Amnesiac, out on Parlophone on 6 August 2001, and it sits on the second CD. It is synthesiser-driven, digital-sounding and comparatively bright, and the title plays on “worrywart”, which is what the lyric is about. Rolling Stone heard a soothing electronic melody that gets more complicated as it goes without ever quite becoming optimistic.

the last word
Sixteen years later the Nottingham producer Lone closed his DJ-Kicks mix for the label !K7 with it. It is the 18th and last track on a CD that also has Drexciya and Boards of Canada on it, and nobody from Radiohead had anything to do with the choice.
