Pierre Loechner · 2001 · L'ÉtudiantA French pocket guide to the band, set out as an A to Z, by Pierre Loechner in L'Étudiant's Les guides musicbook series. Groupe Express reissued it in the same series in 2006 with a new cover by Loïc Sécheresse, and that edition ends with a discography and an index.
Philippe Margotin · 2008 · Éditions de la LaguneA French biography by Philippe Margotin, the Paris music writer behind the All the Songs books on the Beatles and Bob Dylan. It came out in Éditions de la Lagune's Biographies series, which also carried his books on Muse and Michel Polnareff. Library records say little more about what is in it.
Michel Delville · 2015 · DensitéMichel Delville teaches literature at the University of Liège and plays guitar and electronics in the jazz-rock group The Wrong Object. His short book, in French, is the third volume of Densité's Discogonie series. It studies the sound of OK Computer, always tied back to the music and the themes of the songs. First published in 2015, it was reissued under a new ISBN in 2021.
Stefano Solventi · 2018 · OdoyaStefano Solventi writes on music for the webzine Sentireascoltare and the monthly Audioreview. In this Italian book he follows the band record by record and uses their career to trace what became of rock from the 1990s on. It grew out of his review of the June 2017 concert at the Visarno Arena in Florence, and takes its title from “The Gloaming”. His earlier Odoya book was on PJ Harvey.
Stefano Marino and Eleonora Guzzi · 2021 · MimesisStefano Marino, associate professor of aesthetics at the University of Bologna, wrote this Italian study with Eleonora Guzzi for Mimesis's Musica contemporanea series. It starts from Theodor W. Adorno's idea of artistic technique and reads the band's work as technology used knowingly, with Heidegger, Horkheimer, Günter Anders and Hannah Arendt also drawn in. A revised English translation, The Philosophy of Radiohead: Music, Technology, Soul, followed from Mimesis in 2024.
Leo Blokhuis (ed.) · 2022 · Ambo|AnthosPut together by the Dutch music expert and broadcaster Leo Blokhuis for the album's 25th anniversary. Ten writers, among them Blokhuis, Auke Hulst, Menno Pot, Marjan Slob, Alfred Schaffer and DJ St. Paul, each come at OK Computer from their own field and set it against the world of 1997. They also ask whether its reputation has lasted. It is in Dutch.
Matthieu Thibault · 2024 · Le Mot et le resteMatthieu Thibault, a music teacher with a master's in musicology, spent more than five years on this French history, working from books, close to 900 press articles and interviews, and fan archives. It runs from the first On a Friday gig in 1986, a chapter to each studio album (Kid A and Amnesiac share one), with an epilogue on The Smile. Songs get a paragraph or a few pages each, and an index of them closes the book.
Christophe Deniau · 2024 · Le Castor AstralChristophe Deniau, whose earlier books for Le Castor Astral were on Nick Cave, follows Thom Yorke from Radiohead's club years to the stadiums, through his turns into dance and electronic music, and on to The Smile. The publisher's account puts weight on his political and ecological views and on how he used the internet. It is in French.
Fernando Rennis · 2025 · NottetempoFernando Rennis had already written on Factory Records (for Arcana) and on the Smiths (Charming Men, also for Nottetempo). Here he tells the band's story in Italian, from the On a Friday school years to the members' solo work.
