Photographs and stagecraft
The band through a camera and a lighting rig: Colin Greenwood's own pictures, Tom Sheehan's, and Andi Watson's stage design.
Christopher Scoates (ed.) · 2011 · Chronicle BooksA monograph on Andi Watson, the band's lighting and stage designer, built mostly from stage photographs of about ten years of his shows. Christopher Scoates, then director of the University Art Museum at California State University, Long Beach, wrote the text, with essays by J. Fiona Ragheb and Dick Hebdige on stage lighting. Thom Yorke wrote the foreword about working with Watson. The title is borrowed from the song on The Bends.
Colin Greenwood · 2024 · John MurrayColin Greenwood took these photographs of the other four on a small Yashica T4 Super, mostly when they were not looking: on stage, backstage, in rehearsal and on tour, roughly from 2003 to 2018. Alongside them he wrote a long essay about the band, covering how he took up photography, touring and the setting up of their own studio. A signed limited edition added a booklet of light-show pictures.
Tom Sheehan · 2024 · WelbeckTom Sheehan, once Melody Maker's chief photographer, shot the band from their early indie days through OK Computer and after: studio sessions, gigs, portraits and tour pictures, many not printed before, each set with his memories of the day. Ed O'Brien wrote the foreword. The history of the band is by Craig McLean of The Face, drawn from his own interviews with them.
