Thom Yorke asked the crowd at the Max Bell Centre in Calgary on 8 April to stop slam-dancing and crowd-surfing, and parts of it carried on regardless. He then thrust his guitar out over the audience, which Steven Sandor, reviewing the show for Edmonton's Vue Weekly, took as an attempt to knock a crowd-surfer down.

Edmonton was not on this tour, and many of its fans made the trip. Last time Radiohead toured Canada, they played the city's Dinwoodie Lounge. Spiritualized opened, Jason Pierce standing motionless at stage right, and Sandor found them aloof.

The show began with three guitars on “Airbag”, after which the band swapped instruments and went straight into a piano-led “Karma Police”. Sandor had expected a junior hockey arena to swallow the sound, and says every part came through. “Paranoid Android” closed the main set, with two members on Latin percussion and Yorke leaping about under heavy strobes. “Creep” was left out, which Sandor reads as the band keeping their distance from the image they had before OK Computer.
