Supergrass leave Radiohead's tour before the Madison Square Garden nights
Supergrass have pulled out of their last support dates on Radiohead's North American tour and are returning to the UK. A Supergrass spokesperson gives illness in the family of one of the band as the reason. Thom Yorke broke the news from the stage at the HiFi Buys Amphitheatre in Atlanta last night, telling the crowd that Supergrass would not be able to play Madison Square Garden.
They have opened for Radiohead since the second leg began at Mountain View, near San Francisco, on 23 September, and were due to open both of Radiohead's nights at the Garden, on 9 and 10 October.
