Capitol released Jonny Greenwood's Bodysong score in the US on Tuesday 24 February, four months after Parlophone put it out in Britain. Buyers at chosen shops get a free 7-inch, Bodysong: Extras from the Film, with two pieces not on the album: “Duty Lux” on side A, and on side B a “Splitting Mix” of the album's “Nudnik Headache”. Capitol says only 2,000 copies have been pressed.
By 29 February Capitol's list of shops giving the 7-inch away had grown, mostly with independents in the South: Criminal Records in Atlanta, Grimey's in Nashville, Ear X-tacy in Louisville, Good Records in Dallas and the Plan 9 shops in Virginia.
In Britain the film itself came out on DVD on 16 February, with an interview with Greenwood about the score among the extras.
Greenwood wrote and produced the score over six months with Graeme Stewart, Radiohead's engineer. The Emperor String Quartet play on it, and so does a jazz quartet led by the trumpeter Gerard Presencer. Colin Greenwood is on “24 Hour Charleston”.
