Radiohead record a song a day, Colin Greenwood writes
Colin Greenwood wrote on Dead Air Space, the band's blog on radiohead.com, today that Radiohead have just spent a full week recording a song a day, some of them songs that are not even on the studio blackboard. One of Jonny Greenwood's, he says, packs a lot into two minutes 45 seconds.
The blackboard holds Thom Yorke's numbered list of songs in chalk. blackboard filling up with ideas. lots of things happening all over the studio at once.. which i always like..
3 On 30 September, after two weeks of what he called sketching things and mountains of words, the band put a photograph of it on the blog.
One title on it is “Nude”, which Radiohead played on the OK Computer tour in 1998 and have never released, with strings and choir chalked beside it. “Burn the Witch” has orchestration marked beside it, and “Rubbernecks” went up on 11 October.

Colin has had two days off, the Sunday spent dragging a puppy around Abingdon. He is back in the studio tomorrow for another week, with more to come in December. Exciting talk of shows next year; it's good to have a plot.
