The new dates went up on Dead Air Space, the band's blog, on Wednesday 27 June, the day last week's statement had named.
Tickets bought for the summer nights hold good for the new ones, and anyone who cannot go can claim a refund through the tour pages of the band's site. The four Italian nights fall between Switzerland and Berlin, with Rome billed as part of the Rock in Roma festival. OndaRock reports that Caribou stay on as support.
The shows had to move because the roof collapse at Downsview Park on 16 June, which killed the band's drum technician Scott Johnson and injured three crew members, destroyed the light show and damaged the band's instruments and amplifiers. The same day as the new dates, Phil Selway posted a note on the blog thanking fans for their messages over the past couple of weeks. Scott has touched many people's lives and all your sentiments are testament to this.
