Thom Yorke's Dazed mix carries two unreleased songs of his own
Thom Yorke has made a mix for Dazed & Confused, streaming on Dazed Digital from 16 January, and two of its nine tracks are unreleased songs of his own, “Cycles MK 3” and “I Don't Need An Excuse”, the second marked unfinished. Nigel Godrich helped him put it together, Fact says.
Most of the rest is Yorke's too. Atoms for Peace, his band with Godrich and Flea, are on it twice in unmastered form, “You Wouldn't Like Me When I'm Angry” in an unfinished mix, and there are new versions of “Bloom” and “Give Up the Ghost” from The King of Limbs, the second his own remix.
The mix goes with a long interview with Yorke in the magazine's new issue. Amok, the Atoms for Peace album, is out on XL in late February, and The Quietus takes the mix as an early hint of how parts of it might sound.
