Phil Selway says Radiohead are always talking, but a real collective project is further down the line. He gave Rob Hughes of Prog, in the magazine's March issue, a rough idea of the wait. In January he told SPIN the five would meet early in the year.

But yeah, we'll get together soon and in the next couple of years there will be something there, of some sort.

The one recent piece of band work he names is KID A MNESIA, the 2021 reissue of Kid A and Amnesiac with its interactive exhibition. The break was meant to last a year.

When the pandemic happened, we'd always planned to take a year off from Radiohead around that, so we could get on with other stuff.

The members' other projects grew from there, and the band are giving them time to go where they need to.

archivist’s note

Prog is a monthly; the interview ran in issue 138 (March 2023), and the story is dated on the day his remarks were first reported online.
