He told Ryan Reed of SPIN so over Zoom, ahead of his third solo album, Strange Dance, due on Bella Union on 24 February. Asked whether the band had split, he laughed.
As far as I know, we're still a band. If anybody knows any different, I'd be very interested.

Radiohead last played on 1 August 2018, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, and their last album is A Moon Shaped Pool, from 2016. Reed asked about a box set for the 20th anniversary of Hail to the Thief, and Selway promised nothing. The band's recent work has been KID A MNESIA, the 2021 reissue of Kid A and Amnesiac with its free interactive exhibition, which he says is coming to its natural end.
Selway counts the years apart as work for the band. He watched The Smile's first livestreamed shows in London last year before he had heard their record, and found it fascinating to see Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood from the front rather than from behind the kit. Colin Greenwood's place in Nick Cave's touring band he calls the best gig ever.
For me, whatever we do, it all falls under that umbrella of the five of us.
