Radiohead's OK Computer, In Rainbows and The Bends climb the UK charts

written up for the archive

OK Computer, In Rainbows and The Bends all moved up the UK album sales and physical charts dated 18 September, the first compiled wholly after Radiohead announced their 2027 shows in Australia and Japan. OK Computer, in its 309th week on the Official Albums Sales chart, jumped 25 places to number 49 and came back onto the vinyl chart. “Creep” climbed eight places on the streaming chart, in its 145th week there. Hugh McIntyre, writing for Forbes, puts the climb down to the tour news.

Earlier in the year, on the chart dated 9 January, In Rainbows hit a new high of number seven on vinyl and reached number nine on the sales chart, with OK Computer one place behind. It was the album's first time in the sales top 10, more than 18 years after it came out.
