Song · Kid A / Amnesiac era (2000–01)
Trans-Atlantic Drawl
Radiohead with the guitars turned up, on a B-side from the year of Amnesiac.
2001
the b-side
It came out on 21 May 2001 on the first CD of the “Pyramid Song” single, beside “The Amazing Sounds of Orgy”, under a slightly longer title than the one Thom Yorke had given it on the band's message board on 7 April.
It stands apart from Amnesiac, the album the single came from: aggressive and guitar-driven where the album leans electronic. On Genius the title and its sneer are read as a dig at English musicians putting on American voices, and at the industry that rewards them for it.
