Glastonbury sings Happy Birthday to Radiohead's Colin Greenwood
Radiohead played the NME Stage at Glastonbury on Sunday, the festival's last day and Colin Greenwood's 25th birthday. Thom Yorke told the crowd, and they sang Happy Birthday to him.
The band were on in the early evening, after Inspiral Carpets and before Blur, who played at sunset. Radiohead are not regular festival-goers, and the atmosphere took them by surprise.
NME's reviewer names three new songs in the set, “Bones”, “My Iron Lung” and “Just”, and hears them taking what Pablo Honey hinted at a long way further. The reviewer judges the band's air of confidence justified, and found them plainly sick of “Creep”.
