Radiohead's third album pencilled in for spring, says Chris Hufford
Radiohead are making their third album in a studio outside Bath and are not talking to the press, but their manager Chris Hufford has given Record Collector a rough date.

Hufford, who manages the band with Bryce Edge, helped Pat Gilbert piece together the career feature in the magazine's November issue. Song titles have already surfaced from the sessions: “Electioneering”, “Let Down” and “Paranoid Android”. Rumour has the new record leaning on keyboards and computers, and Hufford says some of the other members have had a go at songwriting.
The price guide, compiled with Mike Cambridge, starts with two On a Friday cassettes from 1991 and records how small the first pressings were: 3,000 copies of each format of the Drill EP, and 6,000 of each format of the first “Creep”. Abroad, the Japanese editions of Pablo Honey and The Bends, with their bonus tracks, are valued at £25.
Gilbert calls “Street Spirit (Fade Out)”, the last single from The Bends in January, a strange choice, and Hufford answers that it closed the album, so it closed the era too. In America, where the response to The Bends was that it had no “Creep” on it, Capitol put out “Fake Plastic Trees” to show there was more to the band, and it worked. They are no longer the 'Creep band'.
