Radiohead play all of OK Computer at the Hammerstein, live on MTV
Radiohead flew back to New York for one night at the Hammerstein Ballroom on 19 December and played every song on OK Computer, starting with the “Fitter Happier” tape running into “Airbag” and ending with “The Tourist”. MTV carried the show live in the US, as part of its concert series Live from the 10 Spot. The broadcast lost four songs to its commercial breaks, according to the copy Capitol Records circulated on a promotional VHS.
It was the band's only show between the end of the European tour in Aberdeen on 20 November and the Japanese dates in January, and their last of 1997. It was also their second at the Hammerstein this year, after a sold-out night there on 26 August).
Around the new album they played nine songs from The Bends and the B-side “Talk Show Host”, but not “Creep”.
