Colin Greenwood aims the next Radiohead album at March or April
Radiohead want the follow-up to Kid A out in March or April 2001, Colin Greenwood has told NME.COM, which reports that a single will come first. It is an aim rather than a date, and the album has no title yet. We've got to sort it out! But we're very happy about it, really excited.

Some of the songs came out of the Kid A sessions, he says, but most are completely new, and the band are still recording, with Christmas off. The idea is to keep going instead of making an album every two years like a boring rock band.
He is very happy with how Kid A has done in America. For the mixed reviews at home he blames the band in part, because the promotional copies went out too late for critics to live with the record. I think the one serious regret we have is that we didn't give the record to journalists a longer time away from the release

In June Colin told the Belgian magazine Humo the band wanted another album of new material by September 2001. After the Warrington show on 2 October Ed O'Brien said 24 songs were recorded. We've got that one over and done with, and it's on to the next one. I think we're on a bit of a roll at the moment. Others may disagree.

On 17 October, the day of the Toronto show, NME passed on an interview in which the Greenwoods gave the Canadian site canoe.ca two different answers. Jonny Greenwood called the next album almost complete. Colin was less sure it was a separate record at all. The band had something like 23 songs and chose the best combination for the 47 or so minutes of Kid A, he said, and nobody had decided what to do with the rest. the rest are waiting on the bench, waiting to be picked for the next team line-up
