Radiohead's Kid A films may never be shown, says Thom Yorke
Radiohead made about half an hour of short films for songs on Kid A, and Thom Yorke says they may never be shown. Writing on spinwithagrin.co.uk, the band's question-and-answer forum, he calls them the best video the band have ever made. Among them is a full-length video for “Motion Picture Soundtrack”, which has him in tears every time he watches it.

There is also a digitally mangled live “Idioteque”, and a clip for “Kid A” in which sperm-like monsters jump into a pool of blood. Yorke admits that one is daft.
The band all felt pretty sad, he says, about putting out no singles. It had nothing to do with credibility. Getting into that side of things was too much strain at the time, and singles might have misrepresented the record. The cost was that only critics judged it, and there is nothing like the excitement of hearing (your music) on the radio
