Thom Yorke played Amnesiac to himself all through the Kid A tour
Thom Yorke spent the Kid A tour listening to the band's next album, Amnesiac, on his laptop, and he has now owned up to why. The excuse was working out a running order, he writes on spinwithagrin.co.uk, the Radiohead message forum.
I was so happy to have something we had done that nobody else had heard and was our secret

The record is due from Parlophone in Britain on 4 June. It was made in the same sessions as Kid A, but Yorke thinks it comes from a different place. He has been reading about the Gnostics, and likens one of their beliefs to a river of forgetfulness.
I read that the Gnostics believe when we are born we are forced to forget where we have come from in order to deal with the trauma of arriving in this life.
