Ed O'Brien says Radiohead will play British shows next year
Radiohead will definitely play British shows next year, once the sixth album is finished, Ed O'Brien has told XFM. The band have played none at home in 2002, trying out the new songs on a summer run in Portugal and Spain instead.
O'Brien counts about four weeks of work on the album so far, a fortnight at Ocean Way in Los Angeles in September with Nigel Godrich producing, and two weeks at the band's studio in Oxford. He says it is sounding good, with a lot of energy.
Earlier this month Thom Yorke told NME.COM to expect the exact opposite of Kid A and Amnesiac. O'Brien has a forecast of his own. As I always say it's gonna be an album of three minute pop songs. That's what they always say but that's what it is this time.
