Thom Yorke says the new Radiohead album is not a guitar record
Radiohead's sixth album will be the opposite of Kid A and Amnesiac, Thom Yorke has told NME.COM. Of its first sessions, two weeks at Ocean Way in Los Angeles with Nigel Godrich, he says We've done ten tracks that worked

Those two records were heavily thought through. This time the band have tried to capture a performance, a single moment. That does not mean going back to the guitars of The Bends and OK Computer. Not really no, that's the thing that would be a mistake to think, it's just sort of capturing that energy.

Among the ten is what Yorke calls a good version of “We Suck Young Blood”, one of the new songs. If anything, he says, the band's trouble in the studio is having too many ideas.
Yorke flies back to the US this month to play solo at the Bridge School Benefit, at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View on 26 and 27 October. The band carry on recording in Britain with Godrich. The album has no title yet and is meant to be out early next year, and if it misses that, Yorke says, he will go mad.
