On Saturday he dedicated the unreleased “Sail To The Moon” to everyone who had marched in San Francisco that day against a war on Iraq.
The benefit raises money for the Bridge School, which Young and his wife Pegi co-founded for children with severe speech and physical disabilities. Yorke's booking was announced in September, soon after Radiohead came back from recording at Ocean Way in Los Angeles.
Dressed in black, Yorke moved between acoustic guitar and piano. Saturday's eight songs included “There There” as well as “Sail To The Moon”, both expected on Radiohead's sixth album early next year. The band played both in Portugal and Spain this summer, where “There There” opened the shows. “Lucky” was the oldest Radiohead song of the night, and he closed with Young's “After The Gold Rush”.
Sunday brought another eight, and only “I Might Be Wrong”, “Sail To The Moon” and “Like Spinning Plates” came back from the night before. He opened with “Street Spirit (Fade Out)” and ended his set with “Paranoid Android”, then, NME reported, stayed on for the finale, Young's “Comes A Time”, which he sang with Young, Ryan Adams, LeAnn Rimes, James Taylor, Tenacious D and Foo Fighters.
