Radiohead headline Southside and Hurricane in one German weekend

first posted on Treefingers by Miro, Jaro · rewritten for the archive

Radiohead headlined both of Germany's sister festivals this weekend, Southside at the take-off GewerbePark in Neuhausen ob Eck on Friday 20 June and Hurricane at the Eichenring in Scheessel on Sunday 22 June. At Southside Thom Yorke slipped a few lines of Neil Young's “After the Gold Rush” into the start of “Everything in Its Right Place”. He said little from the stage that night, but met a few fans on it after the show.

Both sets opened with “There There” and “2+2=5”, as every full show of the tour has since Dublin on 17 May.

DasDing, the German youth radio station, had announced a live video stream of the whole Hurricane festival on its website and the festival's. Radiohead's set there brought in “Talk Show Host”, “Pyramid Song” and “No Surprises”, and the first encore was “Sail to the Moon”, “Climbing Up the Walls” and “Street Spirit (Fade Out)”. Then the band came back once more and played “Just” on its own.
