KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic broadcasts Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood's session at Electric Lady Studios in New York on Thursday 26 June, in a 53-minute programme that carries Nic Harcourt's interview with the whole band. KCRW says the band chose Harcourt, the station's music director, as the only radio interviewer of their short American visit. It goes out at 11.04am Pacific time (7.04pm in Britain) on 89.9 FM and kcrw.com, and the whole session will be archived on the station's site.
Thom and Jonny played on 4 June, on acoustic guitar, electric guitar and piano, and ran through the set twice that day for about 75 people. K-Rock in New York gave the places away. Listeners who were the 92nd caller when they heard Radiohead on air over the weekend of 31 May won entry and a pair of tickets to the band's Beacon Theatre show the next night.
The programme has a four-song live set, from “I Might Be Wrong” to “No Surprises”, and five more songs between the parts of the interview. The second session's audience also heard “A Punch Up at a Wedding”, “Knives Out” and, in the encore, Neil Young's “After the Gold Rush”.
