MusiquePlus, Quebec's music channel, broadcast the acoustic set Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood played in its Montreal studio on 2 June as a 90-minute programme on Saturday 5 July. The pair closed the night with “Like Spinning Plates”, and it is one of five clips from the session now on the channel's website, with “Go to Sleep”, “No Surprises”, “There There” and “Karma Police”.
The channel billed the taping as an exclusive acoustic concert with new songs, ahead of Hail to the Thief reaching Canadian shops on 10 June. About a hundred fans were in the studio; MusiquePlus gave the places away as pairs of tickets in a competition on its site.
