Radiohead opened their Italian dates at the Lazzaretto in Bergamo on Monday with “Bones” in the set, the first time the band have played it since Denver in June 2001. The Bergamo show ran to 24 songs and ended on “Karma Police” in a second encore.
The day before, according to At Ease, a message on its message board threatened a suicide bombing at the show. It looked like a sick joke, but the police dealt with it.
Florence followed with two nights at Piazzale Michelangelo. “Bones” stayed for the first, on Tuesday, and the first encore brought in “The Bends”, its first outing this year. Wednesday dropped “Bones” and put in “Morning Bell”, “Myxomatosis”, “Pyramid Song”, “Just” and “Like Spinning Plates”.
