It came between “Karma Police” and the closing “Everything in Its Right Place”.
The second of the band's two nights at the Point, after the first on Wednesday, ran to 25 songs. Introducing “The Gloaming”, Thom Yorke slipped in a line from R.E.M.'s “What's the Frequency, Kenneth?”, and “Creep” came midway through the main set; NME notes that it is becoming a semi-regular part of the show.
The year's touring began in the same city, with two warm-up nights at the Olympia in May, and has since taken in two UK tours, North America twice, and festivals and dates in mainland Europe, all behind Hail to the Thief. The band now break until the spring, when dates in Japan and Australia are already confirmed, and NME reports a strong rumour that they will play Coachella in California.
“Big Ideas” had surfaced earlier on this tour, as an a cappella snippet in Montreal on 15 August and in full in Denver on 26 August. NME calls it a lost classic.
