Radiohead open with “The Gloaming” at a sold-out Forest National

first posted on Treefingers by Miro · rewritten for the archive

Radiohead opened their sold-out show at Forest National (Vorst Nationaal) in Brussels on Tuesday with “The Gloaming”. It was the second night of the European tour, a day after the first in Oberhausen.

The newspaper De Morgen had run a Radiohead special over the weekend, and Studio Brussel billed Monday as its Radiohead day, with tickets for the show to be won from 7am and an interview with Thom Yorke on the evening programme Radar.

Asian Dub Foundation opened the night, and Yorke thanked them before “Street Spirit (Fade Out)”, the last song of the first encore. The 23-song set ended with “The Bends” and “Everything in Its Right Place” in a second encore.
