Radiohead win International Achievement at the Ivor Novello Awards
Radiohead have won the International Achievement award at the Ivor Novello Awards, the prizes for British songwriters and composers, at Grosvenor House in London on Thursday 27 May. Jonny and Colin Greenwood and Phil Selway collected it. The band won two Ivors in 1998, for “Paranoid Android” and “Karma Police”.
We've no new songs, not one.

It's not very rock and roll, but we all have families, so we'll be with them until at least the end of summer.

After a year on tour they need to press the reset button before deciding anything, Selway told Channel 4's teletext, and whether the next release is a run of EPs, an album or something only on the internet, they simply don't know yet.
Ed O'Brien, also at the ceremony, told BBC Radio 1 the band want to get the past year out of their systems first; he hopes they will be making music together again before long, but only when the time is right.
Jonny was up for a prize of his own, with his Bodysong score shortlisted for Best Original Film Score against Gavin Friday and Maurice Seezer's In America and Dan Jones's Max. Dan Jones won it.
The band usually stay away from award ceremonies. This award ceremony is more about song writing which is something we enjoy very much as a band
2, Jonny told Radio 1 backstage. Watching the songs change, as Thom Yorke brings them in for the others to finish or ruin, is for him the heart of being in Radiohead.
