1 from the stage.
Six of the songs are unreleased. Glide Magazine describes “Bodysnatchers” as a loud guitar song and “15 Step” as one to dance to, while “Nude” goes back to the days of OK Computer. “Karma Police” had a false start.
Radiohead had topped the bill since the first line-up was announced in January. The festival sold out at its limit of 80,000, and each of its three headliners played a long prime-time set with no other stage running, Jon Pareles writes in The New York Times.
Neither Radiohead nor Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers come from the jam-band scene Bonnaroo grew out of, he notes, and he calls the set magnificent, bleak and complicated songs pitting melody against noise and one rhythm against another, with Yorke twirling and twitching about the stage.
