Thom Yorke says Radiohead are sitting on a Bonnaroo film

written up for the archive

Radiohead's headline set at Bonnaroo in June was filmed, Thom Yorke told Tom Robinson on his Evening Sequence show on BBC 6Music on Thursday 24 August. The band are holding the film back because so much of it is new.

Actually it's all being filmed, but we're sitting on it because there's loads of new stuff on it. Because we're mean like that. It will come out eventually.

The Bonnaroo set on 17 June ran to 28 songs, six of them unreleased, and the setlist is on its show page.

Yorke remembered two and a half hours on stage in front of about 80,000 people, with whole sections of quiet piano songs. He knows it sounds like the most grotesque self-indulgent nonsense but it probably is my favourite gig for years and years and years1.
