Marvel's Daredevil revival ends a second season on “Pyramid Song”

The second season of Daredevil: Born Again closes on “Pyramid Song”, from Amnesiac. The finale, “The Southern Cross”, plays it over a montage of the damage: Matt Murdock in prison now the world knows he is Daredevil, and Wilson Fisk standing alone on a beach with nothing settled.

The first season ended on “Everything in Its Right Place”, and both SlashFilm and What's After the Movie? call the Radiohead closer a tradition carried over from it. A third season is already confirmed, and SlashFilm is taking bets on the song.

SlashFilm also goes back to what the band said about “Pyramid Song” when it was new. Ed O'Brien told KCRW in 2001 that it was probably the best song that we've recorded¹, and Colin Greenwood traced it to an exhibition of Egyptian underworld and tomb art that Thom Yorke had seen in Copenhagen.
