Thom Yorke's “Dialing In” wins a Guild of Music Supervisors award
Thom Yorke's “Dialing In” won Best Song Written and/or Recorded for Television at the 16th Guild of Music Supervisors Awards, held at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on Saturday 28 February. It is the opening theme of Smoke, Dennis Lehane's arson drama on Apple TV, and it started life as “Gawpers”, a song Yorke played live in 2019 and never released.
“Dialing In” had been one of six television songs on the shortlist the guild named on 14 January. The award goes to Yorke as writer and performer and to Mary Ramos, the show's music supervisor, for the first season.
