All five members of Radiohead become directors of a new company

written up for the archive

Thom Yorke, Jonny and Colin Greenwood, Ed O'Brien and Phil Selway were named directors of a new private company, Futile Endeavours Limited, when it was registered at Companies House on Thursday 19 February. The register files its business as performing arts. It came the same week The Times ran an interview in which Jonny said he had no idea whether there would be another Radiohead album, and that the 2025 tour had felt strange without new songs.

NME points out that band companies have come before releases in the past, Dawn Chorus LLP before A Moon Shaped Pool and Spin With A Grin before Kid A Mnesia. The last one the five formed was RHEUK25 LLP, a name Far Out reads as Radiohead Europe and UK 2025. It was registered in March 2025, six months before the European tour was announced.
