Radiohead to release a live record, ending with “True Love Waits”

written up for the archive

Radiohead will release I Might Be Wrong, eight songs from Kid A and Amnesiac taped on this year's tour, through Parlophone on 12 November, on CD and as a gatefold 12-inch. Capitol's American CD follows on 13 November. The last track is “True Love Waits”, which the band have never released in any form.

Earlier this month a band spokesperson told NME that “I Might Be Wrong”, whose video has been on radiohead.com since July, would be the third single from Amnesiac, probably on 5 November. The single has grown into a record of its own.

The band picked the performances themselves, and Capitol says there are no plans to list the dates or venues on the sleeve. The announcement named Oslo, Berlin, Vaison-la-Romaine in France and the homecoming at South Park in Oxford on 7 July. By the site's own records no track comes from Berlin, and the piano “Like Spinning Plates” was taped at Blossom Music Center in Ohio on 8 August, the first time the song was played live.

“True Love Waits” is Thom Yorke alone with an acoustic guitar, as he has played it at shows this year, and the take comes from Oslo Spektrum on 9 September. The song has been in the live set since at least December 1995, when the band played it in Brussels.
