SonicVision, the computer-animated planetarium show with music mixed by Moby, has opened at the Adler Planetarium in Chicago for an open-ended run. Its 38 minutes begin with Radiohead, as the roof of the theatre seems to open onto a starry sky.
The American Museum of Natural History and MTV2 made the show for the Hayden Planetarium in New York, where it replaced the old laser nights on 3 October 2003. Radiohead have been on its soundtrack from the start.
After Radiohead the soundtrack takes in Audioslave, U2, Goldfrapp, David Bowie, Coldplay, Fischerspooner, Prodigy, the Flaming Lips, Zwan and Moby himself. Gregg Shapiro gives the Chicago run an A in his film column for the Windy City Times.
