Thom Yorke says Radiohead could release the next album themselves
Thom Yorke says Radiohead might put out their next album themselves. Asked by Ann Powers of the Los Angeles Times whether the band would consider releasing it independently, he said yes without hesitating. We have two or three options, and that's one.

The album, their first since Hail to the Thief in 2003, has no title and is not finished. Yorke says the band have hardly talked about how to release it, and will start thinking about that only once they have something they think good enough to put out.
Their deal with EMI ended with Hail to the Thief, and they are touring the new songs this summer with no record company behind them, reaching the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles for two nights on Thursday and Friday. Powers met Yorke in San Francisco to talk about The Eraser, his solo album, which comes out on the independent label XL on 10 July. I would love for us to drop a chemical weapon within the music industry. But I don't see it as our responsibility, either.
