Jonny Greenwood's Bodysong to be reissued on XL

written up for the archive

Jonny Greenwood's Bodysong is to be reissued, digitally remastered, on CD and vinyl on 18 May by XL Recordings. Parlophone, Radiohead's label at the time, first released it on 27 October 2003.

The vinyl is a single LP, with the 2003 running order of 13 tracks, from “Moon Trills” to “Tehellet”.

Bodysong was the first record any member of Radiohead had put out under his own name. It is Jonny's score for Simon Pummell's documentary, which follows a human life from birth to death. According to Pitchfork, the film won a BAFTA. Colin Greenwood plays bass on it. Jonny later reworked one of its pieces, “Convergence”, for Paul Thomas Anderson's There Will Be Blood.
