Thom Yorke opened the encore at the Old Roman Amphitheatre in Caesarea on Sunday night alone at the piano, with a new song he introduced as a kind of silly song2. By Tuesday a recording of it is on the fan site At Ease, as an MP3 download and a RealAudio stream.

The song is “Alligators In New York Sewers”, and words that NME take to be its lyrics went up on radiohead.com after the show. Caesarea was the last night of the summer European tour.

It is not on Kid A, which EMI release on 2 October. NME report that Radiohead plan to put out the other songs from the Kid A sessions after the album, and expect them on a run of EPs or possibly another record, with “Alligators” among them, if it comes out at all.

Setlist, Old Roman Amphitheatre, Caesarea, 9 July 2000
