Radiohead start their Australasian dates in Auckland
Radiohead began their Australian and New Zealand dates at Vector Arena in Auckland on Tuesday 6 November. Midway through the set, between “Reckoner” and “Pyramid Song”, came “Happy Birthday” for Jonny Greenwood.
“Lotus Flower” and “Bloom” opened a set of 22 songs, six of them from The King of Limbs. “Supercollider”, the 2011 single, was there too, and so was “Identikit”, which has yet to be released. “Airbag” came third, and “Paranoid Android” ended the first encore. The band came back a second time for “Idioteque” alone.
Five more nights follow in Australia this month: Brisbane on 9 November, Sydney on the 12th and 13th, and Melbourne on the 16th and 17th.
