Radiohead's OKNOTOK is the year's best seller in UK indie shops
OKNOTOK 1997 2017, the twentieth-anniversary reissue of OK Computer, has been the best-selling album in UK independent record shops since the last Record Store Day. The Official Charts Company published the chart on 20 April, the eve of this year's Record Store Day.
XL put the reissue out on 23 June last year, and it took OK Computer back to number two on the UK albums chart.
Independent shops sell about 6 per cent of the UK's physical albums but a quarter of its 12-inch records, and 82 per cent of the reissue's sales in their shops were on vinyl.
