Both were last heard on the Reading and Leeds weekend of August 2009, when the band were still touring In Rainbows. It was also Jonny Greenwood's 54th birthday, and the band sang “Happy Birthday” to him in the encore before “Weird Fishes/Arpeggi”.
Fourteen of the 25 songs had not been played on the opening night, and 11 of them were new to the tour, “Reckoner”, “Pyramid Song” and “Airbag” with them. “2 + 2 = 5” opened the show, the first time it has done so since 2004, and “Let Down”, the first night's opener, moved to the start of the encore. “Planet Telex” came back there for the first time since 2017, and “Nude” had a new piano introduction. Where the first night leant on Hail to the Thief, this one leant on In Rainbows and went deeper into The Bends.
Before the tour Thom Yorke sent the others a list of 65 songs to rehearse, Relix reports, and the written setlist had other plans in three places. BrooklynVegan reports that “Climbing Up the Walls” was on it where “Myxomatosis” was played, and that “Just” and “Optimistic” were pencilled in as alternatives for “Planet Telex” and “The Daily Mail”.
This one ended with “Everything in Its Right Place”, its introduction carrying a snatch of “Sit Down. Stand Up.”, the Hail to the Thief song the band revived the night before.
