Radiohead bring back “Pyramid Song” in Tampa

Radiohead brought back “Pyramid Song” at the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Tampa, Florida, on Wednesday 29 February, the second night of their North American tour. They had not played it since their Haiti benefit at the Music Box at the Fonda in Los Angeles in January 2010.

“Pyramid Song” was one of six songs the opening night in Miami had not heard. “Little by Little” came in second, “All I Need” and “Myxomatosis” in the first encore, and “Everything in Its Right Place”, also new to the tour, began with a passage of “True Love Waits”. “Street Spirit (Fade Out)” closed the night.

Of the songs not on The King of Limbs or any earlier record, “Identikit”, “Staircase” and “The Daily Mail” stayed, and so did “Meeting in the Aisle”, the 1997 B-side the band first played live in Miami. Out went “Kid A”, “The National Anthem”, “Codex”, “The Gloaming”, “Airbag” and “You and Whose Army?”, and so did “Cut a Hole”, which had made its debut alongside “Identikit” in Miami. A printed setlist reportedly had it in the place where the band played “Karma Police”.

Glide Magazine reports, second-hand, that Thom Yorke introduced “The Daily Mail”, out as a download since December, with a dedication from the stage. This one is for the bankers who think it's OK to make money off other people's despair.¹
