Radiohead end the A Moon Shaped Pool tour with “Karma Police” in Philadelphia

Radiohead ended the A Moon Shaped Pool tour with “Karma Police” at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on Wednesday night, the second of two nights there.

Both nights opened with “Daydreaming”, “Desert Island Disk” and “Ful Stop”, and both had “Decks Dark”, “Bloom” and “Idioteque”; the other 19 songs of each 25-song set were different.

Tuesday's set leaned harder on A Moon Shaped Pool and brought “Talk Show Host”, the night's surprise for WXPN's reviewer. “The National Anthem” ran into a “Hunting Bears” outro, and after two encores the night closed on “Street Spirit (Fade Out)”, a little over two hours with every album but Pablo Honey in it.

Wednesday drew mostly on Kid A, OK Computer and In Rainbows. “Optimistic” came back for its eighth outing of the summer; before this leg it had last been played in Lyon in June 2016. “How to Disappear Completely” closed the main set before “Spectre” opened the encores. The second encore was “The Bends”, “Weird Fishes/Arpeggi” and “Karma Police”, with Thom Yorke playing an acoustic outro and the crowd still singing after the band had stopped.
