EMI reissue Pablo Honey, The Bends and OK Computer without the band
EMI's expanded editions of Pablo Honey, The Bends and OK Computer are out in Britain today, and Capitol's follow in America tomorrow. Each album comes as a two-disc Collectors Edition, the original record plus a disc of B-sides, BBC radio sessions, demos and live tracks. The three-disc Special Collectors Edition adds a DVD of videos, TV appearances and concert footage. Radiohead had no part in them.
Radiohead left EMI in 2007, and the label kept the recordings. That December Bryce Edge, one of the band's managers, told The Times why they had gone. We couldn't move ahead with EMI because Guy Hands irrevocably refused to discuss the catalogue in any meaningful way.

The audio discs draw on the Drill and My Iron Lung EPs, the singles' B-sides and Radio 1 sessions from 1992, 1994 and 1997; the full contents are on the January announcement. EMI and Capitol have 12 of the singles coming out on 12-inch vinyl on 21 April.
The Astoria concert of 27 May 1994 is split between the Pablo Honey and The Bends DVDs, so the whole show means buying both. It has been out on its own since 1995 on video and since 2005 on DVD. The OK Computer DVD holds the promos for “Paranoid Android”, “Karma Police” and “No Surprises” and three songs from Later... with Jools Holland on 31 May 1997. Grant Gee's tour film Meeting People Is Easy is not on it; Drowned In Sound call that a missed chance and guess the rights sit with the band or with Gee.
